14th Post-Graduate Course in “Space and Atmospheric Science” ( August 01, 2025 to April 30, 2026)
A nine-month Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Space and Atmospheric Science is conducted every alternate year at Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad under the auspices of the Center for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (CSSTEAP), affiliated to the United Nations.
Applications are invited for the next course which will begin on August 1, 2025.
| Eligibility | The prospective participants should possess a Master’s degree in Physics/Astronomy/Astro-Physics/Solar Physics/Meteorology or other equivalent qualification relevant to Space and Atmospheric Science, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (B.E./ B. Tech.) in Electronics and allied fields / Environmental Science/Engineering. Candidates having teaching or research experience would be preferred. Since the whole course will be conducted in English, the applicant should have proficiency in English language. |

Short Course on Solar Physics & Planetary Science (June 06-20, 2025)
Applications are invited for a short course on “Solar Physics & Planetary Science” (June 06-20, 2025) to be conducted by Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad under the auspices of the Center for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (CSSTEAP), affiliated to the United Nations.
The objective of the course is to create an understanding of the basics and current research trends in Solar Physics and Planetary Science. The course aims to raise awareness about these subjects among highly motivated students who aspire for a career in scientific research and technology. It will also benefit professionals working in areas of atmospheric science, space physics, satellite systems, satellite communication and navigation.
| Eligibility | Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Solar Physics, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Geology or other equivalent qualification relevant to Space Science, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (B.E./ B.Tech.) in Electronics, Environmental Science and allied fields. Online Short Course on “Free-space Quantum Communication (April 28 - May 02, 2025)
Applications are invited for a short course on “Free-space Quantum Communication” (April 28-May 02, 2025) to be conducted by Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad under the auspices of the Center for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (CSSTEAP), affiliated to the United Nations.
The objective of the course is to create an awareness and develop an understanding of the fundamental and current technological trends in the field of free-space quantum communication. The course is aimed towards highly motivated students who aspire for a career in scientific research and technology employing quantum science.
| Eligibility | Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics or other equivalent subjects, OR a Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech.) in (Electrical, Optical, Electronics & Communication, Computer) Engineering, Information Technology or any other allied field. Since the whole course will be conducted in English, the applicant should have proficiency in the English language. |
