PRL encourages applications for NPDF/CSIR RA. Those who wish to apply for an externally funded Post Doctoral Fellowships (NPDF/CSIR RA) through a mentor in PRL should send their application (i.e., research proposal, list of publications) to the Director, PRL ( director[AT]prl[DOT]res[DOT]in ), at least three weeks before the last date of application. The Director will forward the application to the review committee. The review committee will evaluate the application, interact with the candidate in person or via video conference in the presence of the proposed mentor, and communicate its recommendation to the Director, PRL, for approval.
The terms and conditions for externally funded PDFs/RAs will be as per their funding agency, subject to PRL & DOS rules and regulations. In the event of any conflict between the PDF/RA funding agency and PRL, the rules & regulations of PRL/DOS will take precedence.
NPDFs/CSIR RAs/ can avail themselves of the First aid medical facilities provided at the PRL Dispensary. No medicines shall be issued, nor shall PRL entertain any hospital bills.
PDFs who are already in PRL in their first year are not eligible to apply to PRL.
Externally funded PDFs will not be provided with hostel/PDF accommodation by PRL.
Existing PDFs who wish to continue at PRL with an external fellowship must vacate PRL accommodation.
