H-alpha off-band filtergrams, taken on 14,16 and 17 June, indicate conspicuous spot motions and disappearance of some spot umbrae. This may suggest a change in the field configuration and a decrease in the net magnetic flux. An intense 2b two-ribbon flare occured on June 17, reaching the maximum around 1055 UT in a very complex magnetic region demarcated by dark filaments.
