Research impact measurement is often described as using quantitative methods such as citation counts, journal impact factors and researcher specific metrics such as the h-index, etc. This type of measurement is referred to as 'bibliometrics' in the Library and Information Science field. The activity of measuring and describing the impact of academic research is becoming increasingly important nationally and Internationally, specifically scientific organization.


About RI@PRL

Library & Information Services of PRL taking a lead role using Bibliometric analysis techniques to support PRL mission & vission. Bibliometric analysis extracts data from scientific publications and analyzes that data using statistical methods, tools (R, VOSViewer) to understand the procedures, processes, and intellectual structures of scientific research. Drawing on our expertise in gathering, managing, and analyzing publications, we offer a range of standard and custommize analysis services to assist PRL in managing, evaluating, and strengthening the scientific research.
