The active region, Hale No. 16334 was followed during its disk-passage in the SERF (Study in Energy Release in Flares) interval. This region produced a number of flares occuring in the neighbourhood of spot, P (many of them homologous in nature) while an intense umbral flare was seen at spot Q on October 5 around 1039 UT alongwith a simultaneous brightening at R outside the sport-umbra. The single umbral kernel later developed into two separate kernels. The last frame is taken on October 6 at 0346.
