Through the outreach program of the Udaipur Solar Observatory, we offer a wide range of activities and events that are designed to provide students with a basic overview of Astronomy, Optics and Solar physics. These events include talks, experiments and hands on sessions on making simple astronomy kits, and observations through optical telescopes.
The main aim of our program is to help students to get a general perspective of the scientific activities that are taking place at the Solar Observatory and an appreciation of the role and contribution of Astronomy towards betterment of the society. The students are motivated to take up science as a future career option and also encouraged to contact the observatory members for guidance.
