An impulsive 2b flare appeared at 095455 UT as intense bright kernels at A and B each of nearly 4 arc-sec diameter. Initially the two kernels brightened slowly, but after a lapse of about 2 minutes, the kernels joined together in an explosive flash phase. A bright blob of material indicated as 'I' at 095648 UT was ejected out with a velocity of roughly 700 km/sec. Later, a bright surge '2', ensued from the north-east corner of the flaring region.
