About Sampark - Mobile Application
Sampark is a combination of an Android app for users and a web interface for data maintenance which provides online telephone directory, medical directory, and notification service to keep em- ployees updated about various news and events happening in PRL for the mobile device. Employees have to first register their mobile phone into web-based Sampark version and then only he/she can activate Sampark in his/her mobile phone. The registration process is online and hassle-free. Cur- rently, Sampark 1.1 is installed on mobile phones which can generate notifications for individual employees to notify him/her about his/her Leave Details, canteen consumption, daily Hindi words, any payment sanctioned, etc.
The Sampark app was also provided to Institute of Plasma Research (IPR) - Gand- hingar as technology transfer. The Sampark app was customized as per IPR needs and it is successfully running at IPR.
