Online Hindi Quarterly Progress Report

As per the GoI guidelines, each department has to send letter communication done in the Hindi language to Rajbhasha vibhag during each quarter. There is a proforma given by Rajbhasha vibhag to fill the details. Hindi section at PRL, has to ask these details from each office to send the details. I have created a small software (which is linked to Intranet services) to submit these details online in a prescribed format. Due to the online submission, the Hindi section at PRL can now manage the QPR details easily and can be submitted to Rasbhasha vibhag on time.

ICOM - Integrated CHSS Online Management

All employees and their dependents of Department of Space are covered under CHSS (Contributed Health Service Scheme). ICOM is a computerized version of CHSS management. I developed ICOM and it is operational in PRL since July 2008. Using this software PRL Medical Officer can write the prescription, refer to a panel doctor, advice for some pathology/radiology test and refer to hospitalize if required. It contains all the medical history of all the CHSS beneficiaries and records of all the CHSS related financial transactions of the beneficiaries. Medical Cell can enter billing details and add/edit CHSS beneficiaries. ICOM is web-based software and can be used from any computer in the PRL network but it is mainly used at PRL dispensary and in Medical Cell. It is secured using a username and password to prevent unauthorized access to the software and its data. Various useful statistics can be generated using this ICOM. Some statistics are illustrated as below;

Canteen Management System

PRL has four canteens: General & Faculty canteen located at PRL Main campus, Thaltej Canteen at Thaltej Campus and Udaipur canteen located at USO, Rajasthan. I have developed this software which records canteen consumption and facilities availed by employees. The software also manages the subsidies on each item and automatically deducts the subsidized amount of employees from their salary. It also generates bills that are to be raised by contractors to facilitate payment by PRL. The software is developed in two parts: (1) Client nodes which are installed in each canteen and is being used by contractor person to enter employees canteen consumption and view various reports. (2) Web-based interface which is used by PRL’s canteen manager to generate contractor’s payment and view employee & item wise consumption in each month.

There are several other software developed by me from time-to-time and maintained/upgraded by me. (l) Web applications were developed for students to apply online for VOICE-2019 and VISION-2019 competitions. (m) Inward/Outward letter movement for PRL’s Account Section, etc
