Ion Probe Laboratory was setup in 1989 by Prof.J.N. Goswami, Director PRL. Output of immense scientific importance to the fields of Planetary, Geochemistry, Cosmochemistry, Astronomy and Astrophysics has borne out from this lab. This lab has produced several Ph.D. graduates, and each one of them have become starlights in their field of research.
Current research activities pursued at the lab include Isotope cosmochemistry and early solar system processes, Study of presolar grains to understand various nucleosynthetic processes and stellar evolution, Galactic chemical evolution.
