Indian Ocean Experiment (INDOEX):
Measurements made over the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean as a part of the INDOEX have been used to study the transport and transformation of pollutants out of the Indian subcontinent. Higher levels of ozone and its precursors have been found over the Arabian Sea due to transport of the pollutants from the surrounding continental regions. These results show higher amplitudes of diurnal variation in ozone over these marine regions, which is difficult to explain by existing photochemical model.
