Differential Absorption Lidar (DIAL):

A Differential Absorption Lidar (DIAL) system using a high power laser in combination with Raman cells, 60 cm diameter telescope and signal detection system is being developed for frequent measurements of ozone profiles in the troposphere.

Features:

• Vertical profile measurements of Tropospheric ozone

• Hydrogen and Deuterium Raman cells to shift laser wavelength to 289 & 299 nm respectively

• Photon counting

• State-of-the-art data acquisition and processing

• System can be further augmented for water vapour and temperature measurements in the troposphere.
