To create awareness about the prevention of research misconduct (Plagiarism) and promotion of academic integrity of the PRL community while conducting research, project work, assignment, thesis, dissertation, etc. PRL Library provides a facility for its users for Similarity Check Service Using iThenticate software..


Guidelines for the Similarity Check Service:


To avail of the similarity check service and to get the similarity index report, please submit the soft copy (PDF/Word) file of your document to [email protected] and the following guidelines must be adhered to while submitting the same :


1. Please note that files must be less than 100 MB, the max doc length is 800 pages; files must contain at least 20 words. Also please note that the file must not be protected by any kind of permission.
2.The document submitted for similarity check should contain bibliographic details like the author(s), title, etc. and mention the document type like Thesis, article manuscript, project proposal, etc.
3. A duration of two working days should be given for getting the similarity report.
4. PhD Theses will be checked maximum three times and other documents like article manuscript, project proposal, etc. will be checked maximum two times for similarity index report.
5. At a time maximum 2 files can be submitted
6. The library shall not be the responsible authority for determining the level of the similarity index, we shall only provide the report.
7. This service is only for the PRL community and is purely confidential.
