Prof. S. N. Ghosh Award for Young Scientists has been instituted by ISAMP from the endowment given to the society by Prof. S. N. Ghosh, formerly Sir Rashbehary Professor of Applied Physics, Calcutta University. The award is given at the biennial National Conference.
Prof. Ghosh is an atomic physicist of eminence. He has contributed to the fields of upper atmosphere, applied spectroscopy, afterglow, space communication & interstellar molecules.
