Research Interests

  • Atmosphere, ionosphere and magnetosphere of Mars
  • Aurora and airglow emissions in the Martian atmosphere
  • Chemistry and meteoric material in the lower ionosphere of Mars
  • Cometary dust and Coma

  • The objective of this research is to study theoretical aspects of Martian and cometary aeronomy such as energetic, dynamics, optical and X-ray emissions in the atmospheres of Mars and comets.

Future research will include, in addition to the above, studies of planetary magnetospheres (Mercury, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune) by developing three-dimensional Magneto Hydrodynamic Model (MHD) in the laboratory. This model will describe the magnetopause, shapes, sizes and extension of the tail which were generated by strength and direction of solar wind approaching the planet and interacting with them.
