A multiwavelength study of the Inner Milky Way

Sagittarius E and surrounding areas :

Overlaid on the LW5 false colour mosaic are contours from the VLA 90cm dataset.

The single knot with very high VLA signal (near the bright ISOGAL sources to upper right) without any obvious ISOGAL counterpart is an extragalactic source behind the Milky Way.

There maybe some weak correspondence of the 'diffuse' feature 'found' by LaRosa et al (ApJ 2000) with apparent extended emission at LW5 band in ISOGAL in the above image. Annotated images to be made...
